Position Summary:

This role is not just an Assistant Restaurant Manager role, it is the opportunity to join a family, be a leader, and act as an ambassador for bridging cultures through food. We are counting on you to be an extension of our brand and a leader in helping us achieve our goal of bridging cultures through food.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be a leader by example and have the opportunity to wear many different hats. Whether it’s overseeing the dining room, checking in with customers, greeting guests with a smile, balancing seating capacity, or uplifting your staff during busy moments. You’ll need to demonstrate management skills and experience in both the front and back of the house.

How you can help:

• Assist the General Manager with the restaurant financial performance (P&L), and operational costs
• Assist in finding ways to reach a broader audience
• Grow the business by growing the team
• Help build off-premises sales with 3rd party platform and be involved in the local communities/Marketing
• Ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
• Assists in recruiting, performing interviews, and training new Employees to ensure the restaurant is staffed at the appropriate level
• Assist the General Manager with ordering and inventory
• Assist with supporting and coordinating daily Front of the House and Back of the House operations
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
• Ensures all safety and security policies are being followed as set by the Company
• Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
• Organize and supervise shifts
• Attend weekly manager’s meetings

Skills / Experience you have:

• 3 + 5 years of restaurant experience, including progressive supervisory experience
• Proven great customer service experience
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• Acute financial management skills
• Experience with San Francisco/Bay Area restaurant industry
