Job Overview

The Business Development Associate supports the growth of the North America Retail business. The Business Development Associate supports the Retail team in developing new partnerships by initiating and maintaining a dialogue around TerraCycle’s offerings with marketing, merchandising and sustainability stakeholders across retail companies. This role requires a resourceful, driven individual.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new partnerships with retailers through proactive outreach via email, web-conferencing, and phone
  • Perform daily contact mining and outreach activities including cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, contact databases. Outreach will be a majority of the day-to-day for this position.
  • Build a strong pipeline and support the Sales team to move deals down the sales process to finalization of contracts.
  • Develop client-specific presentations highlighting TerraCycle's programs to be presented in virtual or in person (when possible) meetings.
  • Maintain records on deals and update CRM system
  • Keep up to date with trends across the recycling industry as well as the retail industry
  • Identify new, profit generating opportunities for TerraCycle's Retail team
Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Google Suite, MS Office.
  • CRM software and other relevant technology platforms is appreciated but not required.
