Job Description
Apex is looking for a full time role for a local client in the Kansas City area. We would prefer this candidate to sit in Kansas City, but could sit remote in the United States.
This role involves responsibility for the overarching data architecture from a business standpoint, ensuring clarity in data systems and driving the vision for data sharing and flows. The individual will prioritize data processes to align with business goals.
The role includes documenting a holistic view of data across key business processes and systems, driving business decisions. The individual will oversee the design work for data processes and collaborate with the data architecture team to provide business insights.
The individual will work with business teams on data-related issues and participate in Data Governance councils to provide proactive insights. They will oversee the impact analysis for data definitions and processes across the business to ensure continuity and standardization.
The role involves partnering with the technical team to prioritize automated data lineage and guiding data architecture requirements across domains and brands. The individual will provide input into data standards and ensure end-to-end data flows are planned and managed.
As a leader in the Data Governance team, the individual will work closely with data product leaders. This role requires strong Data Governance experience.
Requirements include:
- 3+ years of experience leading data governance initiatives
- Strong experience dealing with governance/compliance frameworks such as HITRUST, GDPR, SOC2, etc. is essential.
- Needs to have 1,000+ user experience within a global enterprise and is helpful if the candidate has dealt with integrations with sales organizations, vendors, and partners
- Candidate needs to be more data governance focused with their experience than data engineering.
- The right candidate would feel comfortable interacting and working with projectstakeholders
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog is a must
