As a Director of Engagement and Communications, you will carry out our mission to improve the experience of aging together by leveraging Keswick's excellence in aging services and organizational brand by developing and strengthening complementary relationships with workforce development partners, community organizations, vendors, and other partners. The Director of Engagement and Communications acts as an internal bridge between the executive team and various departments, fostering internal and external relationships, and driving organizational growth through collaborative projects. This role drives mission-aligned efforts to ensure that Keswick's workforce is engaged, partnerships are thriving, brand presence is strong, and special projects are executed successfully to grow the Keswick community.

What will I do as a Director of Engagement and Communications?

Workforce Development

  • Serve as the lead Keswick representative in building relationships with workforce development organizations, developing and nurturing growth in alignment with Keswick's strategic direction.
  • Represent Keswick in these relationships at in-person and virtual recruitment and related meetings and events for workforce development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these initiatives in collaboration with other internal stakeholders and adjust as necessary.
  • Collaborate with HR, key leaders, and the external recruitment firm, to identify ways to foster successful recruitment and advancement of Keswick team members.
  • Serves as point person for soliciting and tracking employee feedback through mechanisms such as employee engagement surveys and exit interviews.
  • Support "aging together" relationship-building with internship and volunteerism-related organizations, in collaboration with community health and the Volunteer Manager.

External Relations & Development

  • To further the growth of the Keswick community and from an Aging Together perspective, grow Keswick's contacts via neighbors, participants, family members, board members, community leaders, and partners, recognizing that everyone can have a role with Keswick.
  • In collaboration with key Keswick leaders, nurture strategic partnerships with the larger community.
  • Leverage social media to engage more people to become connected with Keswick.
  • Support efforts to nurture a culture of fundraising at Keswick, in collaboration with the external development consultant, the Communications and Development Manager, and the External Relations and Development Committee of the Keswick Board.

Brand Awareness and Marketing of Service Lines

  • Direct the telling of Keswick's story through social media, sponsorships, advertising, website, and other media, with the support of external marketing firm which handles design/placement of ads and posting/management of social media.
  • Serve as liaison between leadership, service line representatives, and external marketing firm to accomplish Keswick objectives efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan and manage the marketing budget and relationships including the external marketing firm's scope of work, related retainer, and budgeted expenses.
  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to create and amplify promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, social media content, and press releases.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

Project Management

  • Under the direction of the CEO and in alignment with Keswick's strategic objectives, lead and coordinate special projects involving grant writing, fundraising initiatives, and pilot programs.
  • Achieve project objectives on time and within budget through project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership on project progress and outcomes.

What is required in this position?

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Degree in aging services management or gerontology preferred.
  • Experience in talent acquisition/recruitment, communications, and/or external relations required.
  • Knowledge of reframing aging and related communication strategies, preferred.
