OBJECTIVE

The Florist General Laborer will support the Floral Manager and Floral Designers across various operational practices. Support will be focused on the display and maintenance of floral inventory, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the workspace.

• Maintain health of floral inventory both on the floor and in the refrigerated storage through the watering, cutting, and displaying of flowers
• Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks
• Improve and maintain presentation of inventory, including deadheading and watering of live inventory, as well as the general cleanliness of the assigned department
• Complete other general maintenance tasks on the general floor as required

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Work or personal experience in the horticultural, floral arrangement, or gardening fields preferred. Demonstrated ability to offer excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette, and a strong work ethic.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in an active retail store environment. This job may be either indoors or outdoors or both.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Flexible hours. Days and hours of work vary by schedule and season. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
