We are in need of the following skill sets. All of these are not required, if you have experience in one or serveral of these skills, please apply.

GENERAL SKILLS:

• Good work habits including the ability to show up on time and ready to work
• Be able to carry 50 lbs, set up and work from ladders and platforms and, work from lifts using appropriate harness equipment
• Have and maintain a valid drivers license
• Must have the ability to work in both subfloor and ceiling locations
• Must have the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
• The ability to apply industry, company and customer safety standards
• The ability to listen and learn from Technicians, Project Managers and Owners of the company
• Have good communication skills and strive for excellent customer service both at the job site and at the office.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Installation and repair of C5e and C6 network cabling and its related pathway appliances including but not limited to J-hooks and cable trays
• Be able to read blueprints and tech drawings to determine pathways and installation appliances.
• Be able to pull, terminate and test C5e and C6 cable and certify it operation.
• Be able to install data racks and install rack mount network appliances
• Be able to install Fiber-Optic cabling systems and certify their operation.
• Be able to follow customer and company requirements in placement of fire stops when needed
• Termination and cable runs should appear neat, tidy and properly labeled to company standards.
• Strong communication skills are necessary between Technicians, Apprentices and Project Managers

ADDITIONAL USEFUL SKILLS AT ALL LEVELS:

• The ability to install and troubleshoot WiFi and wired networks using industry standard routers and switches.
• Be able to learn on the job using logic skills and online resources

Basic hand tools are required. Specialty tools provided.
