Job Summary The Wellness Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Cano Health wellness centers. The Wellness Manager will provide support to all Wellness Coordinators to include, schedules, training, policy and procedure updates, and in the planning and execution of programs that promote health, safety and wellness. The Wellness Manager will be required to have knowledge of health policies and practices, managerial skills, and leadership experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Responsible for hiring, managing, training and developing wellness coordinators throughout the Cano Health wellness centers.
- Responsible for delegating tasks to wellness center staff in order to maintain a compliant and clean facility.
- Ensures each wellness center is suitable and up-to-date with all applicable health codes.
- Collaborates with Wellness Coordinators to understand the needs of the members and utilize this information when devising plans to better the organization's offerings
- Responsible for wellness center inventory management and tracking
- Maintain accurate records of all wellness center activities including patient records, member feedback, in accordance with the State of Florida regulations and standards set by Cano Health.
- Responsible for the review of all wellness center incident reports.
- Implements the tracking of different visit categories with the Wellness Coordinators.
- Responsible for arranging the training for wellness coordinators to understand how to track the different type of visits.
- Implements new health educations classes that are related to chronic health conditions.
- Supervises the maintenance of the calendar of activities and events that are designed to provide members with a positive and fun-filled engaging experience.
- Supervises the relationships with local senior centers and health plans to establish and active network of resources.
- Utilizes mechanisms to track, monitor and determine the most successful events and activities.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned
Additional Duties & Responsibilities - Implements strategies to improve processes within the wellness centers
- Has a passion for planning programs that benefit the members' health, safety and wellbeing.
Supervisory Responsibilities - Responsible for the supervision of Wellness Supervisor, Wellness Coordinators and the day-to-day operations of the Cano Health wellness centers.
Education & Experience - Has 5-10 years of managerial work experience in a related field
- Undergraduate Degree, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Has a determination to improve existing situations
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- Must be capable of working collegially with a diverse group of staff and visitors daily
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies - Ability to recognize safety concerns and provide a safe environment
- Ability to work well and communicate effectively with patients
- Excellent relationship building/people skills
- Creative with a passion for health, wellness and fitness
- Ability to work independently and problem solve without direct supervision.
- Skilled in operating phones, personal computer, software and other IT systems.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports.
- Fluent in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Travel Requirements Amount of Expected Travel Details Work may involve some driving/traveling to assigned clinics.
Tools & Equipment Used Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.
