Job Description:

Safbon Water Technology has been recently acquired by BW Water (part of BW Water Group) and is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position involves executing Mechanical Engineering functions for the design, installation, and start-up of water and wastewater treatment systems, or components, in accordance with project requirements and acceptable industry standards.

Essential Job Functions:

• Satisfy project design requirements related to mechanical engineering Apply appropriate codes and engineering standards in the design and execution of assigned work.
• Design and assess piping systems, pressure vessels, valves and other mechanical components for optimal results.
• Select pumps and other drive equipment for optimal results.
• Prepare material purchase specifications for mechanical components and auxiliary items related to a project.
• Prepare project related mechanical documents, data sheets, lists, bill of materials and calculations.
• Assist design team with drawing checking and releasing them to manufacturing facility. Provide support on Proposals and Estimates.
• Maintain project schedules as determined by the Project Management Team.
• Report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager on project progress and status of schedules and deliverables.
• Comply with company documentation procedures.
• Participate in company sponsored training.
• Follow safety instructions and industry specific safety procedures in the execution of assigned tasks.
• Carry out other tasks as directed by the Operations Manager or his/her designee.

Job Requirements:

Associate degree or BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.

A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the water treatment field preferred.

Must read and understand specification requirements. Maintain working knowledge of the latest codes and standards related to job tasks. Maintain knowledge of engineering standards in design and execution of mechanical work.

Good communication skills and ability to work efficiently on multiple tasks. This position has no direct reports.
