The Organization: Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.
At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.
Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.
Public Works Administrative Assistant: The Public Works Administrative Assistant will support the Public Works and Project Management Teams with a variety of routine and complex administrative work, communication, and marketing activities. This position will assist in administrating standard operating policies and procedures in the Public Works Department.
Job Duties: - Compiles information to draft reports and supports the preparation of Committee and Board Agendas for Public Works and Project Management teams.
- Assists with collecting invoices, purchase orders, and receipts, forwarding all to Accounting for processing and reconciliation.
- Orders supplies and equipment for the Department by preparing purchase orders and assisting Supervisors with vendors regarding specifications and availability of supplies and equipment.
- Maintains Department files, including Capital Improvement projects, work orders, and administrative files, ensuring all record retention schedules are followed.
- Assists the Public Works Team in the creation, monitoring, tracking, and reporting of work orders. Ensures public service requests are handled promptly and forwarded to the proper Department for service.
- Assists Public Works and Project Management Teams in obtaining quotes for materials and projects, as assigned.
- Maintains and updates pages of the District's website relevant to the areas of responsibility.
- Provides support to the permit and inspection process.
Education: - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum Requirements: - Experience working with the public and exceptional customer service.
- 3+ years of office administrative experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites or related software
Schedule: - Hours: Monday through Friday, 40-hour work week. 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. Scheduled determined upon hire.
