We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join our Fortune 500 client's dynamic research team. This role is crucial for supporting both qualitative and quantitative research projects, with a focus on enhancing the development of innovative products and services. Research Assistant 12 month contract Remote $40-$45/hour We are looking for someone who can commit to at least 20 hours of work per week. This is a paid position with the opportunity to learn from experienced researchers and grow your career as a researcher. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct literature reviews and searches on key topics of interest.
- Assist in the analysis of qualitative data, including coding open-ended survey responses and interview transcripts.
- Summarize major findings from research studies, utilizing programming or statistical skills as needed.
- Support the development of research materials and assist with the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with the research team in moderating studies, taking notes, and managing the rolling research program.
- Independently draft moderator guides and contribute to the creation of qualitative and quantitative surveys.
Required Skills & Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of experience assisting with qualitative and/or quantitative research projects.
- Experience in an academic research lab or similar setting.
- Proficiency in reading and reviewing academic publications, and writing literature reviews.
- Experience coding open-ended survey data and cleaning survey data.
- Familiarity with piloting surveys, cognitive testing, and coding interview transcripts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Skills: - Experience in a tech research environment.
- Basic programming and/or statistical skills.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and project tracking.
- Ability to interpret and communicate research findings to stakeholders.
Education: - B.A. / B.S. in Psychology, Sociology, Communication, Linguistics, Political Science, Science and Technology Studies, HCI, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or current enrollment in a Master's program in one of the above fields is preferred.
- Candidates currently enrolled in a B.A. / B.S. program with extensive research project experience will also be considered.
Additional Attributes: - Proactive, creative, and adaptable with a strong enjoyment of process work.
- Comfortable working with data, coding data, and independently contributing to research processes.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise reports.
Work Commitment: - This role requires a commitment of at least 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments.
